About Agri Pro Placements
Agri Pro Placements was founded in 2023 by Donovan Maskell, who knows the H-2A program from the inside out — because he was part of the H-2A labor force himself. That firsthand experience fuels everything we do: a genuine understanding of both the workers who keep American agriculture running and the employers who depend on them.
Since launching, we’ve partnered with over 20 employers and placed more than 100 employees across the country. We combine real-world agricultural knowledge with immigration expertise, ensuring every placement is compliant, efficient, and built on trust. We don’t just fill positions — we build relationships that strengthen farms season after season.

Stay informed on the forces shaping American agriculture and the demand for seasonal labor.
The H-2A guestworker program certified 398,258 positions in FY 2025 — the first time in program history that over 400,000 workers were requested. The program has grown 185% over the last decade, driven by persistent domestic labor shortages and a U.S. unemployment rate that keeps American workers out of seasonal farm roles.

Net farm income rebounded in 2025, fueled by a 203% increase in government farm program payments rather than stronger commodity markets. Experts warn that policy support is neither guaranteed nor predictable, and farms that build long-term strategies independent of government assistance will be better positioned for the future.

IoT sensors, AI-driven crop monitoring, robotics, and smart irrigation are rapidly transforming farm operations in 2026. While large-scale mechanization remains cost-prohibitive for many small and mid-size farms, precision agriculture tools are becoming more accessible — and guestworker programs remain essential to bridge the gap.

Recent changes to the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) methodology aim to correct years of uncontrolled wage inflation. Simultaneously, new flexibility in work contract timelines and job duties is expected to make the H-2A program more accessible to more farm operators — but staying compliant requires expert guidance.

Growers are increasingly expected to demonstrate environmental stewardship alongside productivity. Regenerative agriculture practices, carbon sequestration programs, and water conservation are moving from optional to essential — especially for operations supplying major food retailers and processors with sustainability mandates.

U.S. states increased H-2A worker demand in FY 2025
The U.S. labor force participation rate has been falling since the early 2000s. With official unemployment at just 4.4% in late 2025 and virtually no domestic interest in seasonal farm work, agricultural employers are more dependent than ever on structured guestworker programs to maintain reliable seasonal workforces.

Common Questions
Get answers to the most common questions about our agricultural staffing services, H-2A visa programs, and how we can help your farm.
The H-2A visa program allows U.S. employers who anticipate a shortage of domestic workers to bring foreign nationals to the U.S. to perform temporary or seasonal agricultural labor. The program is administered by the Department of Labor (DOL) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
We recommend beginning the process at least 75-90 days before your anticipated need date. This accounts for DOL processing of the Temporary Labor Certification, USCIS petition adjudication, and consular visa appointment scheduling. Starting early gives us room to handle any unexpected delays.
Employers must provide free housing that meets federal and state standards, pay for inbound and outbound transportation, guarantee work for at least 75% of the contract period (the "three-fourths guarantee"), pay the Adverse Effect Wage Rate (AEWR) or prevailing wage (whichever is higher), and provide workers compensation insurance.
Our fee structure is transparent and competitive. Costs vary based on the number of workers, contract duration, and services required. We provide detailed quotes during our initial consultation so there are no surprises. Contact us for a free, no-obligation estimate tailored to your operation.
We work with first-time H-2A employers regularly. Our team guides you through every step from initial consultation through worker arrival. We handle all documentation, compliance requirements, and government coordination so you can focus on preparing for your season.
The H-2A program covers a wide range of agricultural activities including planting, cultivating, harvesting, livestock care, and food processing performed on a farm. The work must be temporary or seasonal in nature. We can help you determine if your specific operation qualifies.
Yes, our service extends throughout the entire work season. We provide ongoing compliance monitoring, bilingual communication support, issue resolution, and are available to address any concerns from both employers and workers. We believe successful placements require continuous support.
